Description: This is book is entitled "The Professor" by Charlotte Bronte or Currer Bell, which was her pseudonym. It was published after the author's death and was written by drawing on her experiences teaching at a girl's school in Brussels. The tissue guarded frontispiece is a black and white drawing of the professor at his desk. The cover is tan cloth with an embossed emblem of the publisher on the cover and gold lettering on the spine. It was published in 1865 by Carelton, Publisher, 413 Broadway. New York Condition: There is fraying, rubs, wear, and deterioration on the corners and edges of the spine and covers. There is some foxing throughout the book and the back of the spine is cracked.
