This is a lot of 6 issues of the New York Times newspapers from 1865 featuring a nice coverage of the Henry Wirz Trial who was the commandant of Andersonville Prison and the only Confederate soldier convicted and executed for war crimes during the Civil War.. The dates included are: August 22, 23, 25, 26 and 30. The August 26th issue also has a coverage of the sinking of the steamer Brother Jonathan. This lot of newspapers are in overall poor to fair condition. There are some nicks, creases, tears and minor paper loss. Some of the pages show foxing.
