Click for more Owen Jones Ornament Prints Free US Shipping on Purchases of 5 or More Maps and Prints Description: It is an authentic antique chromolithograph print approximately 148 years old from Owen Jones' The Grammar of Ornament, published in London by Bernard Quaritch, 15 Piccadilly, 1868. A facsimile copy of the title page is included for authenticity. According to the preface it was drawn on stone by Francis Bedford and printed by Day & Son. A chromolithograph is a complex printing technique that uses multiple litho stones, one for each color, that are printed separately layering the color. It is not matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as shown in the main pic. It is a very beautiful print executed with superb craftmanship influenced by the English Arts and Crafts Movement. Size: The image area measures approximately 7 3/4 by 11 1/2 inches (20x29cm) on a page measuring 8 1/2 by 13" (21x33cm) as shown in the pic. Condition: The print is in Excellent condition, blank on reverse with lithographic color. Overall, it is very clean with strong color that would frame up nicely, see the pics for more on condition.
