Description: CIRCA 1890 LOCKWOOD NEW OLD STOCK COMPLETE POCKET DOOR MORTISE LOCK SET w/KEY & STILL IN THE ORIGINAL BOX!! (19130-3) Fantastic full set, circa 1880's-1890's, made by Lockwood, never installed, new old stock! Paten date is 1886 but they were still featured in their 1897 catalog, see pic. Both the male face lock and the female lock are included. Both are flat face locks. Four Japanned pull plates are also part of the set. The key is included! And the entire set is still in the original box!! Works perfectly! Wonderful Japanned copper and black patina, very nice set. MORTISE FACE: The mortise locks each have a steel face with a length of 6 7/8" and a width of 1" wide and 1/8" thick. MORTISE BOXES: The male mortise lock box is 3 1/2" deep from the outside edge of the faceplate to the back of the box. The box is 4 1/2" high. The female mortise lock box is 2 3/8" deep and 4 1/2" high. BACKSET: The backset (the distance from the front edge of the brass faceplate to the center of the key hole on the male lock) is 2 1/4".
