Description: A very handsome 1906 reprint of the Globe Edition of Edmund Spenser's works, including The Faerie Queene, The Ruines of Time, Prosopopoia: or, Mother Hubberds Tale, &c. Finely bound by Zaehnsdorf in green full morocco with triple gilt-ruled borders to both boards, gilt armorial device of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales to centre of upper board. Spine with five raised bands, gilt lettering and detailing. All edges gilt (bright). Binding remains sound, firm and in lovely condition, small scuff to lower board, sunned to brown on spine. Internally, also sound and firm. Marbled endpapers, clean and bright. Gilt ruling and detailing to turn-ins, with binder's gilt-stamped signature to lower turn-in at front. A little foxing to front and rear blanks, occasional small/minor blemishes to text-pages, otherwise clean and tidy throughout. Please view images carefully to confirm condition.
