Description: 1918 Great British Coin Display Gift Set This 1918 British year set contains the complete eight coins all issued and dated from the year, namely: halfcrown, florin, shilling, sixpence, threepence (these five all struck in 92% silver) penny, halfpenny and farthing. This would make a wonderful and original gift for someone born in 1918 as 2024 will see their 106th Birthday! The coins are housed within a display that is held in a protection case, sized just over 17cm x 12cm. The display and case are in New/Mint condition and the coins are in Fine (or better) condition.Note - We don't clean/polish coins as this actually devalues coinage. Our manufacturing process includes a precision laser cutting method to create the necessary holes in each display for the required coins to be inserted and held, safely recessed, in the correct position (beware of similar offerings that secure coins by crudely gluing them into position). The product can be removed from the protection case, to allow frame mounted display, if so desired.
