1930’s Silver Plated Mappin & Webb Bee Honey Pot Blue Container

Description: 1930’s Silver Plated Mappin & Webb Bee Honey Pot Blue Container A nice and rare Bee silver plated honey pot by Mappin and Webb, it has a blue glass screw in honey abdomen container. Below the lift up wing lid it is stamped Mappin and Webb Princes plate W11518. Just above the hinge is the number 2. As mentioned the container can be unscrewed to allow cleaning. The bee has a nicely shaped head with two antenna and six splayed legs. The bee is in good condition with no wear to the silver plate, it would benefit from a deep clean and polish to remove tarnish in hard to reach places. The blue glass bowl does have a few chips to the rim of the glass – see photos for more details. There is no spoon with this item. Condition – See description for condition issues. Dimensions – The bee measures 16cm in length, 9cm wide at the wing tips and 8cm in height. One photo has a wine bottle in view as a size indicator.
