Description: Vintage sterling silver hairbrush and mirror made by English silversmith's Mappin & Webb. The aesthetic is art deco which fits with the date letter which indicates both pieces were made in 1937. They are hallmarked as follows - lion passant (925/sterling silver), leopard's head (London assizes), date letter "B" (1937). They also have "Mappin & Webb" stamped on the top as well as the company mark next to the hallmarks. I put a conservative estimate for the amount of total silver at 120 - 130 grams. There is some cosmetic damage on the back side of the mirror at the top edge. There is also s few small, light scratches at the bottom of the brush handle and a couple of other minor condition issues. I have included detailed pictures of both items so you can determine the exact condition for yourself.
