Description: About this vehicle 1955 Chevy gasser! Gm 302 engine in it and runs like a champ. Only 2 owners. My dad bought it in 68 from brothers. All original body parts. Not rust. It is an original old gasser and still is kept that way. My dads dream was to run it one more time on the drag strip but his health never let that happen. My dad has owned this car since 1968. Restored it and we worked on it together. Since he passed I can’t work on it by myself and I hate to see it sit. So it needs a new home. My dad has won multiple car shows with this car. It sat for 5 years while he was in a nursing home. After he passed I started it up. After cleaning the carbs. It started up like a champ. I have driven it 3 times since he passed 1.5 years ago. It has its flaws but all of them are fixable. I just can’t bring myself to work on it without him. My loss is your gain Seller's Notes It has the GM 302 in it. Runs like a champ. Only a few of these beauties left in the world. The GM 302 is a small-block engine designed by Chevrolet for the Z/28 Camaro to meet the Sports Car Club of Americas (SCCA) Trans-Am Series road racing rules. The 302 is considered one of the most legendary small blocks ever developed. Here are some specs for the GM 302 engine: Displacement: 302 cubic inches (4.9 liters) Horsepower: 290 horsepower at 5,800 rpm Torque: 290 lbs.-ft. of torque at 4,200 rpm Features: High-rise aluminum intake, Holley 780 carb, forged steel crank, forged rods, and forged pistons The 302s big bore and short stroke make it well-suited for high-rpm duty. Vehicle Details The car has the 1968 302 in it. I also have new heads fot it and a 400 engine my dad and I were going to switch the engines out after his last surgery but we never did it before his stroke. So that engine will go with the car also. I have a ton of parts and stuff that will go with it. The original stuff that we switch out or new stuff that we bought and never got around to do. To much to list and really doesn’t effect the car itself. The car and engine that is in it is in amazing condition we just wanted more horse power. And something to do. If your interested I can take pics of each extra thing I have and the other engine and the new heads. Just bought a new battery for it. Exterior Interior Engine Deposits are nonrefundable.
