1955 Syracuse Supply Co. NY Industrial Supplies Catalog #12 Tools Manufacturing

Description: A enormous catalog of industrial and construction related tools, hardware and equipment from Syracuse Supply Co. in New York State. It is Catalog No.12 which is apparently from 1955. This is from the days of Hardware suppliers publishing solid hardcover catalogs that businesses could use for years. There is no date in the catalog. 925 Pages and weighing in at 5lbs. 4.3 oz., it is 11" x 8" x 1 7/8". The company had offices in Buffalo, Schenectady Binghamton Rochester and other cities that had industry in NY. It still exists as a supplier of CNC machining supplies and a less broad assortment of hardware and tool items. Manufacturers they sold include Starrett, Stanley, Lufkin, Armstrong wrenches and machine tools, Utica Tools and on and on. Stationary machine tools they sold include American Tool Works, Oliver, Charles Allen Co., Buffalo Forge, Davis and Thompson and so many other companies that manufactured industrial machines in the 1950's. This is a picture of the level of American manufacturing in this period. I expect that almost everything in the catalog was made in the US. An excellent resource for tool collectors and users and researchers of industrial history. Very good condition with very little wear. Buyer pays cost of Media Mail in the US.
