Description: An incredible & gorgeous set of Japanese Imari dishwater. Each has been hand crafted and features a highly detailed raised relief dragon on a black background. Each is slightly different and also uses pale yellow, light blue and rose elements. The interior of the tea cups and creamer cup are glaze with a marigold like luster high gloss finish. All stamped “Made in Japan” with a sketch of a mountain top. Believed to be from the 1960s. This is a stunning set consists of: 1 ice bucket included the straw woven handle 1 teapot with lid 1 serving tray with straw woven handle (break/missing piece on handle) 1 lidded canister 1 sugar bowl with lid 1 creamer cup with handle (red painted rim is worn in 2 spots but not chipped) 6 tea cups with handles 6 tea cup saucers 5 plates (one has a few breaks in the raised relief) Overall amazing condition given the age and how unbelievably fragile this all is. There are no chips on any of the rims. The worst condition plate is pictured and just has a few minor flaws. It’s a very dainty set—and would be so gorgeous to display. Please reach out with any questions at all.
