Description: Please email with any questions. Vintage 1960's wallpaper sample framed behind glass. 11 3/4" by 9 3/4" wooden frame painted cream frames a 8" by 10" sample of colorful Mod Era wallpaper printed on textured paper. No manufacturer's identification. Stamped on the back "R304" and RUN 1". There was a renewed appreciation and interest in circa 1900 design and art- people started putting Mucha prints on their walls, people rediscovered stained glass lamps that their parents had discarded as old fashioned. This colorful paper has a collage effect of overlapping posters of the 1900 reinterpreted in a Pop Art color scheme. The man in the green hat lower right was originally an ad for Rowntree's Elect Cocoa, Don Quixote was originally a poster for the Lyceum Theater. I think the wallpaper company changed the originals enough to get around any copyright lawsuits that might arise.
