Description: For sale is a really nice 1963 $2 Red Seal U.S. Note. The Red Seal Notes are called "United States Notes" because they are currency that was actually issued by the United States and not the Federal Reserve, which is technically a separate entity. So any Red Seal Note was actually issued from the U.S. fiscal budget and not on loan from the Federal Reserve. Red Seal Notes are always fairly scarce because the Treasury would destroy these notes as they made they way back. This style of Red Seal Notes only had series years of 1953 & 1963. Red Seal Notes are also referred to as "Legal Tender Notes."As you can see from the pics the note is in great shape, and it would be considered in high grade condition. It has all the original crispness to it and the white, green, and red colors are very bold and vibrant. It has no major rips, tears, or stains. It does have very subtle folds to it that are barely noticeable, and they don't take away from its high grade status. This is a great high grade vintage Note for any currency collection. Thanks!
