The first, Marianne Krusse, performed in the Hamburg Ballet's premiere 'Romeo and Juliet' which she performed originally for the Frankfurt Ballet in this very year. She performed alongside Max Midinet, whose signature is also present to this work. Loosely inserted is a photograph of the choreographer for Romeo and Juliet, John Neumeier. This is signed by Marianne with a note to the prior owner of this work, Joan Hewson. Marianne may have been a student of Joan's. From the library of Joan Hewson, the Renowned Cecchetti School of Dance Instructor. Joan left a legacy of numerous successful professional dancers from across the world. She was greatly appreciated by her students, as is evident from the many gifts that form her library.The second work to this set is a programme for the Romeo and Juliet 1972 performance, which has, loosely inserted, a list of the performers. In addition to this there is a programme for the 1972 Frankfurter Opernhefte. A lovely souvenir of the German ballet. CONDITION In the original paper wraps. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
