1984 anti-Reagan Red Slash Campaign Protest Pin It's His Job or Yours

Description: Former film and TV actor, Ronald Reagan, ran for California Governor in 1966 and won two terms. This was during many of that state's student protests, over the Vietnam War and other issues, which made Berkeley famous and infamous. A law-and-order candidate and governor, tons of 1.25" cello button were sold in those hippy-dippy head shops to young people who thought they could get away with anything and resented when they got tear gassed. In light of all the comparable anti-pins while he was a two-term president that out there, a person can build a wonderful collection of trays filled with just anti-Reagan pinbacks. So, we thought we'd list some in our eBay store just for kicks since they're clever and fun. This is a 2.25" cello trying to remind voters of the tough times some went through during Reagan's first term so he should lose his job in 1984. But no one with a brain bought into that theory, (they remembered democrat Jimmy Carter), and Reagan was re-elected by one of the largest vote margins in American history against Walter Mondale, (Carter's V.P.), who only won his home state of Minnesota and Washington D.C.
