Description: This 21" German China Head Flat Top Doll boasts nice modeling and painting, dating back to the 1860s. The doll features black molded curly hair, blue eyes, and a light complexion with very rosy cheeks. Most likely made by Kestner in Germany, this original porcelain doll is an antique collectible that comes complete with clothing (probably redressed in the 1950 with an appropriate print and antique buttons) and is suitable for all occasions. Her vintage body is not original but is shapely and well made with China lower arms and blue boots. She comes with some provenance: she is inscribed on her back "Fanny to Betty 1951". The doll is a perfect representation of fashion and beauty from the Civil War (1860s) era. She has no cracks, chips or restoration. From a non-smoking cat friendly home.
