In a small Alaskan town, thirty days of night is a natural phenomenon. Very few outsiders visit, until a band of bloodthirsty deathly pale vampires mark their arrival by savagely attacking sled dogs. But soon they find there are much more satisfying thirst-quenchers about: human beings. One by one, the townspeople succumb to a living nightmare, but a small group survives -- at least for now. The vampires use the dark to their advantage, and surviving this cold hell is a game of cat and mouse...and screams. When their annual month-long polar night arrives around the corner, the town of Barrow, Alaska seems like all will be alright during that time, but all is far from alright. After strange things start to happen around the town, the town's sheriff Eben Oleson will soon discover the real horrifying truth, the town has been targeted by a clan of hungry, bloodthirsty vampires. After most of the town's people are killed off, the rest of the population goes into hiding. With no way to call or get help from the outside world, it is up to the town's survivors to find a way to make through the month of darkness if they hope to survive. Sheriff Eban, his wife, and a dwindling band of survivors must try to last until dawn breaks over Barrow's monthlong twilight.
