Those genuine Puma/Adidas 1980s (or may be reissued now but modeled to 1980s) are the best in my opinion: classic, genuine, simple and survive the times. We bought them (a lot!) in Shinsho-ji Omotesando, a small village just outside Tokyo Narita Airport in 1990s where they still sold shoes made in West Germany. Next we also bought some at little shop just outside Sofitel Bangkok (Wangmai Pathumwan area?), also sold shoes re-issued old models. So we bought many (for the whole family) and we worn (most of them) until we outsized them and left some untouched (and we stored them for years).
