Description: I assume my late sister Betsy sold these types of Mexican platter/chargers in her crafts and collectibles store back in the day, and brought the remainder home when she closed the store down. These aren't for hanging (though they could be); these are for partying! Imagine your next Mexican food dinner or Mexican-food themed party! These were designed to be "chargers", i.e. decorative platters that fit under your china dishes for that extra flair. And as I show in some of the photos, a 10" plate and a 10-1/4" shallow bowl just made it to the inner edge. Doesn't mean you can't use one of them directly for chips & salsa, pretzels, nuts, cheese, carrots and celery, etc. They're nice and light, but by no means flimsy. If I were a party- or dinner-thrower, frankly, I'd keep these. But I'm not, and I'd much rather get them into the hands of folks who will be able to celebrate with them. Don't hesitate with questions or comments. Thanks for considering!Rick
