Lange & Söhne/ Glashütte B/Dresden with original box, replacement glass and museum certificate. The watch is equipped with a cal. 43/19''' lines movement and weighs 97gr - an impressive weight for an open-face pocket watch. Heavy open a-goutte 18k - Glashütte gold case in the rare case shape “Bassin”. Both the case and the movement are in very nice condition and have no inscriptions or monograms. The back is engine-turned with an eye. Lange & Söhne Hosenbandorden - hallmark; 0.750 and the German Reichsgold stamp for 18k in both lids, the bow hallmarked with ALS. The absence of the Swiss hallmark indicates that the case was produced in Glashütte. The case is in very nice condition, the guilloché pattern on the back cover is slightly worn. Two-part enameled dial with recessed small seconds and Roman numerals. Outer minute ring without numerals, the dial is signed A. Lange & Söhne B/Dresden. Original blued steel spade hands. The dial and the hands are perfectly preserved. Exquisite ¾ plate movement, grained, gilt and signed. Manufactured in quality 1A with diamond endstone on the balance, hand-engraved balance bridge, five screwed gold chatons. Gold screw compensation balance. Schwanneck fine adjustment. Gold anchor and gold escape wheel. Blued screws. Ratchet wheels with double sunburst finish according to Großmann. Crown winding. The as-new movement runs perfectly. Diameter approx. 50mm, weight 97g; identical movement and case no. 34 995. Sold on January 3, 1898 to Joh. Huber's Söhne, Vienna for 342 Reichsmark.
