Description: For sale is a vintage hardcover of "Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp in Rhyme" by Arthur Ransome with illustrations by Mackenzie. This is an early edition with no stated publication date (circa early 1920's). Title page states Brentano's, New York, but colophon page at back indicates that this edition was published in Great Britain by K&S, St. John's Square. Binding is sound and pages are generally unmarked, with the exception of some occasional light smudges. All 12 illustrated color plates are present, but the 11th illustration was ripped from the book at some point, and has been reattached with clear tape.
