Description: Got this ball signed by A Rod right when he was called up from the minors and the Mariners were visiting the Rangers. I remember it very clearly my father took my to Arlington to see Griffey. We stayed at the same hotel as the team. I remember how friendly and personable A Rod was at that time. He actually stopped signed, hung out for a min and had a conversation with me in the lobby. I remember this bc I met him on multiple other occasions in the future and each time he was a little less friendly. You can even see the contract in the signature he gave me. Here he perfectly signed his full name while on the All Star game ball I have listed he gave me the quick A Rod signature. Probably a combination of me being older and him being more exposed to people hounding him every minute. I'm parting ways with my cherished autograph collection, a treasure trove gathered during my elementary and middle school years. Back in the '90s, I'd attend sporting events and visit team hotels, personally collecting these signatures and memorabilia. However I can self certify that every single one of these autographs were collected by me and signed in my presences unless otherwise noted.
