Description: Description This is a rare estate find. It's a vintage early 1960's brooch from Alice Caviness done in gold on sterling silver, known as "gilt" or "Vermeil." The carved scarab stones test as quartz/carnelian (red) and glass (green). The piece is small - approx. 1 1/8" (see photos for an idea of size). Weight = 3.32 grams. In good vintage condition with some signs of patina. Signed in back.
