I love the houses in the background fading into the mist and the watery shadows. It's a really fantastic blend of traditional Japanese and modern midcentury style. Incredibly well-executed. It is signed at lower left and appears to read "Hisuo." Framed in a period carved wood frame. I estimate that it dates to the late 1940s or early 1950s.Condition: Painting is in excellent condition. Frame is in very good condition, with minor wear. Measurements: Painting measures 13 inches wide x 9.5 inches high. Frame measures approximately 18.5 inches wide x 15 inches high.
