It is new, never been played with and comes in original American Girl box. It is 100% Complete with the hard to find twigs that are so cute! This is so realistic looking! Josefina can bake the tortillas for the family in her authentic adobe oven. Josefinas family does their baking outdoors in an horno (OR-no), an adobe oven shaped like a beehive. To bake bread, Josefina has to start a fire in the horno with a bundle of twigs. Then she opens the horno door, scrapes out the hot coals, sets a tuft of wool on a wooden paddle, and holds the paddle inside. When the wool turns brown, she knows the oven is hot enough for baking! Your horno set includes two loaves of bread, one unbaked and one golden brown. This set is complete, new and in original American Girl box. Comes with phamplet and educational material explaining the horno. The best part is the phamplet is from Pleasant Co 1998 so I think this is old stock that is pre-Mattel. The important thing is the the Horno is a dull finish, not shiny like the newer ones and the fire inside is very realistically painted. Yippee! I just love the old stuff!
