Description: This is a genuine antique map sourced from 'Histoire Ancienne', which was published in Paris in 1740. The book was the work of Charles Rollin (1661-1741), a notable French historian, whilst the cartography was by Jean-Baptiste Bourguignon d'Anville (1697-1782) - cartographer to the king. The map measures around 48 x 32cm and is dated April 1739 It shows some wear and foxing and has its original fold lines, but is in a presentable condition for around 285 years of age.
