Description: This listing is for an early 1800s antique Scottish grandfather/ long case clock. The clock has a nice wooden casing built in the late Georgian style. The clock is complimented by a gorgeous hand painted dial with hand painted scenes representing the Earth's elements- Earth, wind, water, and fire. The clock comes with its original 8 day time and strike movement. Weights and pendulum included. The clock was painted green during the early 1900s and was a part of a retail store display in Edinburgh for many years. The clock was brought to the US sometime during the 1970s/1980s. This clock has been well cared for and is in overall good condition. The movement was last serviced in 2018. The clock ran and chimed when recently tested. The chime bell has a nice tone. Please note that any mechanical clock that is shipped or moved might require adjustments upon arrival, and thus time accuracy is not guaranteed.
