Description: Very meticulously hand carved and hand painted ark, Noah, wife, and 32 animals. Ark is 14” L. x 4” W. X 6” H. Animals are1 1/2”- 2” in length and approx. 1 1/2” H. Noah and Noah’s wife are 1 3/4” tall and Noah has a chip out of his hat.By the construction of ark, hand carving of animals and hand painting of both ark and animals there is no doubt this was made in Germany and most likely the Erzgebirge area. Ark has overall wear to paint and cloth roof hinges have worn through and we’re replaced with 2 strips of felt material on inside and are not noticeable. 28 animals are in very good condition with only wear to paint edges and minor random chips to paint from use, other then that it is in very good antique condition. 6 animals laying down in the photos have broken legs that could be repaired. I have seen many make- do repairs on putz animals.View photos for condition.
