Description: This beautiful hand carved and painted antique child's chair, circa 1800s, is in remarkable original condition with normal signs of wear. Every piece of this chair was hand carved, hand painted and hand drilled. The finish is 100% original with the original handpainted highlight foliage. It is over 18 inches tall approximately 10 inches wide and the seat is 10 inches deep. The piece weighs approximately 3 1/2 pounds. The seat is approximately one and three-quarter inches thick and is one solid piece. This lovely piece of primitive folk art has obviously been used for well over 100 years. It would not surprise me to be pre civil war. It is assembled and held together with 1/8 in.² wooden doweling. Unfortunately, It is not signed or dated.
