Originally used to display the bride's wedding couronne or tiara. It is an object made for the wedding, in many French regions, intended to collect the bouquet worn by the bride on the wedding day. This cushion is filled with a hard horsehair or straw, i can't really tell, it is very full and sturdy. Covered with a divine blue velvet fabric. The cushion is trimmed in the edges, in the corners as well as the middle of the front with a sumptuous metallic gilt embroideries passementerie and tassels that has taken on a warm old patina with the passage of time. It is in perfect condition and can be used now as a fabulous accent to decorate that gives such a 19th century French touch to your home. Wonderful as it is, it can also welcome any crown or tiara, precious novelties, a wedding ring or be a part of lovely doll decoration.
