Description: Very rare find - Simplex Industrial level platform scale unrestored. Simplex is a very uncommon find with old platform scales, this one is believed to be early 1900's. The wood upright post and paint appear to be all original. The last weight certification sticker on the back of the post is dated 1941. This is a very neat piece, considering it's age and intended use, it is in very good unrestored condition. This scale includes several counter-weights (4) 200lb. plates, (1) 100 lb. plate and (2) 50 lb. plate. This scale is functional, no guarantees on exact accuracy but it appeared accurate at 50 lbs. and 175 lbs. Some internal hardware was missing and replace with stainless steel parts which are not original to this scale. While this scale is functional for certain uses, it makes a unique and interesting decorator piece.
