Description: This is a fine vintage pair of Chinese royalty, a 13.5” emperor and 12” empress which I believe dates to the early Republic period circa the late 19th century or early 20th century. As you can see they are handmade and hand-painted in vibrant famille rose colors. The emperor measures 13.5” tall, 7” deep and 9.5” wide and the empress is 12” tall, 7” deep and 9.5” wide. Both are marked with an impressed Chinese characters signature. They are in excellent condition, even the delicate fingers and other protrusions are undamaged. These figures are very heavy weighing a total of 20 lbs and of course fragile. These cannot be shipped but are for pick up only in Sacramento, California.
