Description: Here is an antique souvenir plate titled "General View of Soo Locks," in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The ship pictured is the freighter Wilpen, launched in 1907. The plate measures 7 inches in diameter and is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks or wear. Not marked, but I found two other examples online that were marked Jonroth, a company which imported highly detailed pictorial souvenir china from Germany and Austria prior to World War I.
