Description: Travel back in time with this With a 14'' body and a 23-1/2'' scale lenght, is a 4/4, full-size violin. There are no maker marks on it or a inside label. It is quite evidently old though. Two-piece flame maple back and sides. Flame maple neck. One fine tuner. Spruce top with good straight grain lines. The nut looks like ebony to me, as does the fingerboard and tailpiece. Cosmetically, there are some scuffs and scrapes here and there, but overall it looks very good. It is very clean. On the back, both at the very top and at the very bottom of the center seam, there are open hairline cracks. Functionally, it plays well. It comes with a modern Glasser bow. It comes in a modern brown molded plastic case. The handle, latches, and hinges work. Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a new 32"x19"x7" stout cardboard instrument box.
