Good example of this interesting coin type. As always, Please use the Pictures as your judge as grading is subjective. Notes: Amorium (also known as Amorion), was a Greek city in Phrygia, Asia Minor. Not much is known about Amorium of antiquity. The city minted its own coins beginning between 133 BC to 27 BC and continued until the 3rd century AD under Roman rule, indicating its maturity and importance as a settlement that must have been prestigious and prosperous. Early historical records of the city are limited to a single reference by Strabo but it is expected that new discoveries will shed light on the city's Roman period and before. The city flourished under the Byzantine Empire and then declined after the Arab sack of 838. Some Excerpts From Head, Hist.
