This scene is all under a tremendous sun set casting pink and orange hues across the sky, reflecting off the waters surface. Signed in the top right corner "Bernard Wah - Haiti" this painting is executed in oil on masonite measuring 20 x 10 inches while its original carved wood frame measures 25 x 15 inches making this work ready to be hung and enjoyed. The condition of this painting shows flaking mostly to its one particular dark brown that was used in the figure, shadow, hulls and masts. This indicates some failure to that particular color and can/should be addressed by a conservator.
