Author Biography Rosemary Sayigh is a renowned journalist and scholar of Middle Eastern history, having published ground-breaking works on the Palestinian people including Palestinians: From Peasants to Revolutionaries (1979) and Too Many Enemies: The Palestinian Experience in Lebanon (1993). In 2024 the Palestine Book Awards presented Sayigh with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her work on recording the displacement narratives of Palestinian women. She taught oral history at Birzeit University, Palestine, and at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. She received her BA at Oxford University, UK in 1948 and her PhD at Hull University, UK in 1994.
