It is a premium steel that offers excellent edge retention, strength and corrosion resistance. 154CM steel was developed by Crucible Industries, which specializes in specialty metals for industrial applications. It contains a combination of carbon, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium, which give it unique properties. The name "154CM" stands for 1.54% carbon and the inclusion of the elements chromium and molybdenum. It is often compared to other premium steels such as S30V, S35VN and CPM-20CV. Knives made from 154CM steel are prized by enthusiasts and professionals alike for their superior performance and durability. Blade - Reverse Tanto type with a scratch-masking Stonewashed finish, coated in black. The slightly curved cutting edge converges towards the sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearing ceramic supports the opening of the blade with a quick flipper (index-finger flipper) when opened acting as a stag. We can also open the knife using the oval opening in the blade (thumb hole). The whole thing is locked with a proven and popular liner lock.
