Description: BMW Standalone MS43 for the M54B25 2.5 engine. This ECU DME has EWS Off / Disabled Immobilizer. Note - Factory emissions , no changes. This engine computer is for the 2.5 liter M54B25 engine as used in the 325i 325ci e46 3 series and e39 5 series 525i, works for automatic and manual transmission or if you are doing an engine swap into another chassis such as E30 / E36. Make sure your car is using MS43 dme, as opposed to MS45, look at the dme in the car , takes a few minutes . Again - confirm your car has MS43 dme before purchasing, by purchasing you are agreeing that you’ve done your due diligence- no returns are accepted. Each dme is tested and working, I am not responsible if you purchase a wrong dme without checking first . It is recommended that when you swap / install a DME you reset adaptations using INPA or similar tool. I reset adaptations using BMW inpa tool when I test these before shipping. Check your OBD2 scanner for instructions or ask your local BMW mechanic to perform this simple task , takes less than a minute to do. Please note - it is expected to see EWS parity code as that’s because DME has ews disabled . It’s got nothing to do with engine / transmission. This code does not trigger a check engine light and can be ignored. Please read carefully and fully !!! This is a programmed BMW DME with EWS disabled. It does have a functional check engine light , this is NOT an older Euro tune where check engine light doesn’t work and/or rear o2 sensors are deleted . No core charge, no need to send in your dme ! Modified ews module is needed in some cases when your module or key for example is bad, or you can bypass the module by splicing the two starter wires going to/from it, it’s pretty simple . This is a Genuine BMW MS43 Engine Computer for E46 3 series coupes , sedans and convertible models with M54B25 engine as used in 325i and 325ci models, this dme works for cars with manual and automatic transmissions. This dme also works in E39 525i cars with the same engine. Make sure your car is using MS43 dme before purchasing, as opposed to MS42 or MS45! One way to tell is to take a look at your MAF connector , if you have a 5 pin connector then your car will NOT have an MS43 dme and this will not work for you. Or simply remove the dme cover under the hood on driver side and confirm the dme shows MS43 on its label. Condition is Remanufactured, tested working DME with EWS deleted. Adaptations are reset using INPA, then road tested in 2002 E46 manual transmission car and checked that there are no codes. DME is updated via BMW WinKPF tool, version 66 . This is not some generic publicly available old version . This is a good updated 066 version, not some old generic old version found online. Note - EWS check in this DME is off, nothing else is deleted or disabled , meaning o2 sensors and secondary air system is active . The only thing disabled or turned off is EWS system. This allows you to plug the dme in and use it as plug and play dme, or if you are doing an engine swap. Note - if your car is having ews 🔑 issues and you still have the ews module under steering column , you may need to also bypass it in order for the car to crank if your key is dead.
