Description: This is a rare vintage original c.1930s pictorial map brochure of Dare County, North Carolina issued by the Dare County Chamber of Commerce of Manteo, North Carolina. This brochure is a single piece that folds open to about 16” x 9.25” with an elaborate pictorial map of Dare County covering 3 of 4 panels on one side. The verso has photos and information on the historic sites and points of interest in Dare County. The cartouche area of the pictorial map is titled DARE COUNTY And It’s Environs The Land Of The “LOST COLONY” And The Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The map is unsigned and brochure isn’t dated but looks to be from the 1930s. The brochure is fully complete with moderate handling wear, some toning from age and small amount of separation at the edge on fold lines.
