Description: Product SummaryFlange Heaters Caloritech™ CXI Flange Heaters are well suited for heating water, especially in hot water and steam boilers, as well as heating mildly corrosive solutions in rinse tanks, spray washers, etc. The heater features incoloy® sheathed elements silver brazed to steel flange. Standard heaters shown in this offering have 150# ANSI rated steel flanges and Copper or Incoloy elements either silver solder brazed or welded to the flange. Standard heaters can also be supplied with 300# flanges. All heater flanges are available with Carbon Steel (SA-105), Low-Temp Carbon Steel (SA-350 LF2 CL1), 304 Stainless Steel (SA-182 F304/L) and 316 Stainless Steel (SA-182 F316/L). *special flange sizes, wattage capacities, element length, and element quantities are available upon request There are 3 different types of terminal boxes, to suit different environments. General purpose for indoor heating applications in dry locations, NEMA 4 terminal boxes for indoor wet location use or outdoor applications and Explosion Proof terminal box for hazardous location areas. Heaters are typically wired with maximum 48 Amp circuits, so higher amperage heaters will have multiple circuits. It is important to note that the majority of heaters used in pressure vessels require ASME registration. All of our Econ flange heaters can be provided with CRN numbers for All Provinces, as well as Alberta. Heater Selection Type CXC heaters are used primarily for heating water and have Copper sheath elements silver brazed to a steel flange Type CXI heaters may also be used to heat water, especially in hot water and steam boilers. These heaters are also suitable for heating mildly corrosive solutions and have Incoloy sheath welded or brazed to a steel flange. Type CXF heaters are constructed of similar materials to CXI heaters except that they have much lower watt densities. Watt densities shown here are either 23 watts/inch² or 15 watts/inch². 8 watts/inch² design is also available through our Econ offering.
