Revered as a staunch minimalist by the early 1990's, it was exceptionally rare for Calvin Klein to present a pattern in his collection. Nevertheless, this was a rare exception to his design ethos. Klein further enhanced the "moment" by dressing model and actress Laure Hutton in a different version worn of this dress for his runway presentation. This is a classic, scoop neck, maxi length, tank dress. The dress has a slight flare to the shape. It's crafted of the most luxurious silk chiffon that has a ripple texture. It's lined in a simply, airy silk. This dress looks smashing worn by itself, but I also love it layered over a t shirt or turtleneck sweater. It is slightly sheer, and there are buttons inside at the shoulder to secure a slip underneath, if you so wish to wear one. There is a discrete, side zipper for easy dressing. Please note that the scoop neck is slightly lower on the back than it is on the front.
