Description: Up for sale is an Antq Charles P. Limbert Co. Arts & Crafts Oak Rocking Chair with its Original Worn & eroded Finish and original leather upholstery on the cushion. It has not been refinished or reupholstered. This chair belonged to my Great-Grandmother who lived from 1866 to 1952. We have lived in her home for the last 25 years. This is a low center of gravity rocking chair and may be too short for a tall person. It weighs 28 lbs., is 35" tall from the floor to the top of the back, it is 22 3/4" from the floor to the tops of the armrests. The rockers are 28" long. The rockers are 21" wide at the front of the chair and 14" wide at the back. The leather upholstered seat box is 16" deep, 18 1/2" wide at the front, 14" wide at the back and 4 1/2" thick. The box weighs 9 lbs. There is a 4 1/2" long by 3 1/4" wide black painted metal vent sewn into the center of the green cotton fabric bottom lining. Through the vent you can see the robust alignment of the internal upholstery springs. Under the seat are six slats in the top of the chair that are 16" long by 2" wide. The side slats are attached but the four inside slats are loose and slide from side to side. Tacked onto the back of one of the slats is a torn tag that reads: "Limberts Arts and Crafts Order #2879 Article #380." On the underside of the left armrest is the burned brand mark that reads: "LIMBERTS ARTS 7 CRAFTS FURNITURE Made in Grand Rapids 7 Holland MI." (With the center image of the craftsman using a wood plane on a board using his whole body.) There is a paper label attached to the green fabric on the bottom of the seat box that reads: "No. 580 There are 24 fine crucible steel springs in this Sanitary, double-deck floating seat cushion. To thoroughly clean leather Rub with flannel rag dipped in naphtha. To refreshen leather- Take whites of three eggs, one gill of milk, and water to make one pint, shake, well and apply with a soft cloth. Charles P. Limbert, Company." Buyer is responsible for arranging local pickup of chair. Two of my customers recently used C G Mangement and Logistics INC 975 Nimco Dr. Ste H Crystal Lake IL 60014 Phone 773-401-9052 to pick up and ship a pair of club chairs and a leather office chair they had purchased from me. This "white glove service" came to my home, communicated well ahead of time, inspected the chairs and took photos and then wrapped them in shipping blankets and then wrapped them in shrink-wrap. And moved on down the road to deliver the furniture. I was impressed with their professionalism and I trust them.I appreciate being paid within three days.I'm happy to combine shipping.I practice leaving positive feedback.I guarantee customer satisfaction.
