Description: Here's an early Civil War period pocket inkwell....hand blown glass ink bottle encased in a wood housing....the bottle is hand blown with a crude rolled in lip, so it is probably pontiled on bottom, but I cant see to know for sure...aqua glass...round...2"tall....spring loaded when you push down on the bottle. Wood housing is 1 1/8"round....just missing the top. Two little lugs on neck of wood base....Excellent condition with only a small crack in top of wood but solid and nice....
