These portfolios featured beautiful floral and decorative motifs that would have been used as inspiration for designers of various decorative objects like textiles, tapestries, ceramics, wallpaper, and paintings. The second volume, circa 1900, was issued from a series of three Art books, presenting decorative motifs and including numerous artists such as Eugène Grasset, Henry Lambert, E-A. Séguy.
