Description: DESCRIPTION The Jay Ray pickup was presented for the first time in 2012 at the Frankfurt Music Fair (Frankfurt Musik Messe). Wired in parallel, the tone will be familiar as most MusicMan pickups have been wired in parallel. One of the key development goals for the pickup (and achieved) was to avoid the typical large volume loss when operating in single coil mode. Additionally, when wired in series, the pick retains a powerful humbucking sound. When wired in single coil per the Delano Installation Guide, the rear coil (double pole pieces) will be in effect. To get the front coil (large poles) in single coil mode, swap the white for the green wire, and swap the yellow for the brown wire.
