Because rubber sole is painted, the paint WILL wear over time. There is a small portion I test the integrity of the paints adhesion to the rubber sole. Though good, it's not immune to wearing off over time, only where it comes into contact with pebbles, sand, carpet or other objects that will physically touch the side of the sole.
