The EAA Bounty Hunter, made by Weihrauch of Germany and imported by European American Arms in Florida, incorporates a transfer bar and a slightly larger frame than the Colt, capable of handling the .44 Magnum. The Bounty Hunter owes its lineage to the Hawes Western Marshall revolvers, made in the 1960’s and ‘70’s by J.P. Sauer & Sohn in Germany. J.P. Sauer later acquired the Swiss gunmaker SIG, incorporating as Sig Sauer. At that time, Sauer began focusing on autoloaders and sold its revolver operation and tooling to Herman Weihrauch Waffenfabrik, who added a transfer bar and continued production as the Bounty Hunter. What these will NOT fit: Please note that these grips are made to fit ONLY the EAA BOUNTY HUNTER Single Action revolvers. Vastly superior to standard bonded ivory or stag found on most factory and other aftermarket grips, Magna-Tusk™ is capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil and impact, and is the toughest alternative grip material available today, while still retaining the pristine look of real ivory or stag. It is flame and heat resistant, and is entirely void-free, with over 10x the strength, durability, and impact resistance of alternative materials. Our Magna-Tusk blanks will produce an aged Ivory grip unlike any other material made today. Our aged grips feature an authentic aged patina, just like the originals, with a process incorporating concentrated U.V. light (the essential aging property in natural sunlight), along with a developer/control agent that is put on the grips to carefully control U.V. absorption, in a sealed, high-oxygen environment to accelerate the natural aging process. Through this aging process, these grips become beautifully mottled, variegated, and weathered just like old, antique Ivory, and incorporate other authentic details found on original old Ivory as seen on many of the revolvers which belonged to gunfighters and lawmen of the Old West. As with real aged Ivory, Magna-Tusk develops a variegated patina due to its authentic grain structure, and natural aging produces an authentic appearance and genuine patina which extends into and below the surface. Not only does this give it the appearance of authenticity and depth, but this surface will not chip, crack, or peel like a superficially applied coating. With Magna-Tusk aged grips, most experts cannot tell them apart from a decades-old or even a centuries-old original.
