This is a rare December 23rd, 1954 "Playgoer" playbill from the three-night, Pre-Broadway engagement of the new JOHN CECIL HOLM comedy "THE SOUTHWEST CORNER" at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. (The production would open February 3rd, 1955 at the Holiday Theatre in New York City and close after only 36 performances.) ..... The play starred EVA LeGALLIENNE and featured ENID MARKEY, PARKER FENNELLY, RAY BOYLE, JEAN GILLESPIE, JOE LATHAM (replaced out-of-town by FRANK TWEDDELL) and MURIEL PEARCE (replaced out-of-town by FRIEDA ALTMAN) ..... CREDITS: Book by JOHN CECIL HOLM based on the novel by MILDRED WALKER; Sets designed by RALPH ALSWANG; Directed by GEORGE SCHAEFER; Produced by JOHN HUNTINGTON .....
