Description: One PAIR Federal Glass (Columbus, OH) Normandie Iridescent Marigold / Sunburst 11" Grill (Divided) Dinner Plates. Plain 11" Dinner Plates were also produced. Grill PlateAnother plate type we don't see often today was the grill plate. Diners or cafes would use these plates because they made the food portions seem larger and made it easy to serve. Grill plates are divided, usually into three sections, and are about the same size as a dinner plate. In patterns such as Federal's Patrician depression glass one section is larger than the other two. Meat would go into the large section, possibly with potatoes, and a vegetable or roll would be in the other two. This was a practical way to keep food from running together. - via National Depression Glass AssociationProduced only from 1933 thru 1940. No known reproductions. Original name given was Bouquets & Lattice. Most listings detail color as "Marigold"..., probably since most listings detail as "Marigold" ;-) Another established reference used "Sunburst". Anyway, Listings are many with prices from "give-away" to "how much?". I have no desire to spend the time taking & editing pictures, and then listing to price them too high. ;-) They want to "move on", as well :-) $hipping via Ground Advantage, same/next daySincere thanks for visiting :-)Mark FYI..., I absolutely refuse to use eBay's AI to write a flowery description JUST LIKE every other listing. Drives me absolutely UP a wall... I'm 74 ;-)
